Newspaper staff killed in Dhaka crash

A staff of a Dhaka-based national daily's printing press was killed early today when a newspaper-carrying vehicle he was travelling in turned turtle in Dhaka's Shahjahanpur area.

The deceased was identified as Mashiur Rahman, 30, a staff of the press belonging to Manobkantha. Another person named Azad was also injured in incident.

The incident took place near Peerjangi Mazar around 3:40am after the driver lost control of the covered van, said Mehedi Hasan, officer-in-charge of Shahjahanpur Police Station.

Mashiur was declared dead after he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
