‘Durga Temple looted’ in Demra

Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted money from a Durga temple in Demra area of Dhaka early today.

The miscreants looted around Tk 30,000 after breaking a donation box of the temple, Babul Krishna Sarkar, president of the temple committee, told The Daily Star.

Sarkar filed a general dairy with Demra Police Station in this connection after devotees found the temple gate broken this morning.

Amal Krishna Dey, sub-inspector of Demra Police Station, confirmed the incident.
