Anowar, Helal return home
The two Bangladeshis Anowar Hossain and Helal Uddin who were first abducted by unknown militants from Libya and later freed, arrived home this evening.
They landed at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in an Emirates airlines flight at 5:20pm, Marufa Khatun, wife of Anowar told The Daily Star.
Ashraful Islam, counsellor (labour wing) to Bangladesh mission in Tripoli, confirmed The Daily Star that the duo landed Dhaka after being flown in from Malta via Dubai.
Helal and Anowar were first abducted from a Libyan oil field on March 6 and later freed. It was first said that ISIS caught them hostage, but Bangladesh government later said no militant group claimed responsibility for the abduction.
