Man who threatened Australian HC held

The man who threatened Australian High Commission in Dhaka and demanded Tk 5 lakh via e-mail a few days ago has been arrested from the capital.
Tausif Hosen, a freelance photographer and a part-timer hailing from Tangail, was held around 4:00pm yesterday, Masudur Rahman, spokesman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told The Daily Star.
The arrestee, on April 25, sent an e-mail to the Australian High Commission saying he was “keeping an eye on the ambassador” and demanded Tk 5 lakh via account transfer.
He sent the same mail to Jago Foundation a day later, Nazmul Sumon, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime, told The Daily Star.
