Fire at Mirpur slum doused

A fire which broke out at a slum near Mirpur DOHS area of Dhaka this evening has been doused.

No casualty was reported in the incident.

On information, six units of firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control around 9:40pm, said Babul Miah, duty officer of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

The fire broke out at the slum around 8:30pm.

The cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately.
