Now fire reported at Dhanmondi
Today’s third incident of fire has been reported from Dhaka’s Dhanmondi residential area.
Fire Service and Civil Defence said, the fire on a building at Dhanmondi Road 11/A was doused by locals before firefighters reached the scene.
Fire service headquarters’ Operator Farhadul Alam told The Daily Star that the fire was reported around 8:25pm, but was doused soon.

This was today’s third fire incident after the major fire at Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) market and another in a high-rise at Gulshan-2.
In wake of the swate of fire outbreaks in the capital, Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon has asked fire service to probe into possible sabotage.
Today, a major fire outbreak at DNCC supermarket, the second such major fire there after 2017, gutted at least 211 shops and left traders in losses.
Also, another fire was reported at the Delta Life Tower in Gulshan-2. However, it was doused even before fire service units could reach the spot.
Just two days ago, the deadly blaze of FR Tower, a commercial complex in Banani, left 26 people dead and citizens in shock.
