Aminul, 28 others remanded over BNP-cop clash
BNP’s sports affairs secretary Aminul Huq and 28 other activists of the party have been remanded in five lawsuits filed over last week’s clash with police in Dhaka.
Former skipper of Bangladesh’s national football team, Aminul has been placed in remand for two days. The others were placed in remand for various terms.
Dhaka Metropolitan magistrate Mahmudul Hasan passed the order after Shahbagh and Ramna police produced all the 29 before court with remand pleas today.
BNP activists vandalised about 70 vehicles and torched a police motorbike near High Court and Bangabazar on December 5 after police foiled an attempted procession.
