BUFT hosts farewell for Batch 222 students
BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) organised a farewell festival for the students of Batch 222 on its campus.
The day-long programme, titled "BUFT 222’r Itibritto", brought together faculty members, students, industry representatives and invited guests, according to a press release.
The event featured a flash mob, cultural dance performances, a colour festival, fashion and cultural shows, a qawwali performance and a live concert by the band Avoid Rafa.
Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam, MP, state minister for cultural affairs, attended the programme as the chief guest.
The event was presided over by Faruque Hassan, chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT and former president of BGMEA.
Among the distinguished guests were representatives of One Composite Limited and Urmi Group. Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, vice chancellor (designate) of BUFT, attended as the special guest.
The farewell festival was convened by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, director of student welfare, and Mohammad Imtiaj, director of public relations.
Sakhawat Hossain, deputy director of the Student Welfare Department, and Rakibul Islam Shifat, lecturer, served as member secretaries of the organising committee.
