Unilever wins ‘Most Sustainable Company of the Year’ award
Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) has won the “Most Sustainable Company of the Year” and “Most Sustainable FMCG Company of the Year” awards at the SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026 in Dhaka.
The multinational company also received the SDG Brand Champion Award in the Sustainable Partnerships and Institutions category for its “Shohojatra: Co-Creating Impact” initiative.
Overall, UBL earned five recognitions at this year’s awards, according to a press release. Besides winning the three awards, the company received honourable mentions in the Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure category for “Smart Customer Logistics & Trade” and in the Responsible Consumption and Production category for “U-Refill 2.0 and Reengineering Packaging”.
Syeda Durdana Kabir, human resources director of UBL, and Shadman Sadikin, customer business development head, accepted the awards on behalf of the company. The recognitions reflect Unilever Bangladesh’s commitment to fostering partnerships, driving innovation across its operations, and promoting responsible consumption and production.
Through these initiatives, the company works with government institutions, development organisations, communities, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and lasting impact. Organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum as part of the Bangladesh Sustainable Summit, the SDG Brand Champion Awards honour organisations that advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through responsible business practices, innovation, collaboration, and measurable impact.
