SBAC Bank arranges ‘Half-Yearly BizCon 2026’

SBAC Bank PLC yesterday organised its half-yearly business development conference, “Half-Yearly BIZCON 2026”, at Le Méridien Dhaka.

Md Moklesur Rahman, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the conference as the chief guest, according to a press release.

At the conference, Rahman said that despite various global and domestic challenges over the past few years, SBAC Bank has been able to maintain financial stability.

“The bank has faced no liquidity crisis, and customers have been able to withdraw the funds they need without interruption.”

He said efficient and responsible management has helped the bank achieve sustainable progress in its financial indicators and build a strong foundation.

He added that the board of SBAC Bank is giving the highest priority to good governance, compliance with banking rules and regulations, strategic planning, and protecting depositors’ interests and the safety of their deposits.

SM Mainul Kabir, managing director and CEO of the bank, said SBAC Bank aims to be a bank for everyone while presiding over the conference.

“We are conducting our banking activities with the goal of developing entrepreneurs and creating widespread employment across the country,” he said.

“To this end, we are prioritising loans to agriculture, SMEs and women entrepreneurs. At the same time, we are placing equal importance on remittance collection and foreign trade,” he added.

He also expressed SBAC Bank’s commitment to accelerating digital services to help build a cashless Bangladesh and expanding Shariah-based Islamic banking services.

Mohammad Nazmul Huq, Mohammad Mahbubor Rahman, Imrul Anwar, AKM Delwer Hussain and Maj (retd) Abu Fateh Md Bashirur Rahman, directors of the bank, and Prof Md Maksudur Rahman Sarkar and Ziaur Rahman Zia, independent directors, attended the event.

Abdul Quaium Chowdhury, additional managing director, and Md Altaf Hossain Bhuyan, deputy managing director, along with senior executives, divisional heads, branch managers and sub-branch in-charges, were also present at the conference.
