Midland Bank approves 6% dividend for 2025
Midland Bank PLC approved a 6 percent dividend, including a 3 percent cash dividend, for the year that ended on December 31, 2025.
The approval was given at the bank’s 13th annual general meeting (AGM), which was held virtually yesterday, according to a press release.
Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting.
Rezaul Karim, chairman of the executive committee; Riaz Ahmed Choudhury, independent director and chairman of the audit committee; and Hafizur Rahman Sarker and Mohammed Helal Miah, directors, joined the AGM.
A large number of general and institutional shareholders attended the AGM physically, alongside participation through the digital AGM platform.
They approved the audited financial statements as of December 31, 2025, along with other relevant agenda items placed before the meeting.
Imtiaz U Ahmed, managing director and CEO of the bank; Md Zahid Hossain, deputy managing director and chief risk officer; Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar, deputy managing director and chief technology officer; Ashiul Islam, deputy company secretary; and Didarul Islam, chief financial officer, also attended the AGM.
