Traders urge urgent steps to improve law and order

Traders from different sectors today called for urgent measures to improve the law and order situation and ensure a business-friendly environment in the post-election period.

They made the demand at a views-exchange meeting organised by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital.

Business leaders said incidents of extortion have increased alongside a deterioration in law and order, creating uncertainty among entrepreneurs.

They urged the government to intervene immediately to curb extortion and restore discipline in the economy, warning that continued instability could disrupt business activities and hamper economic recovery.
