NBR extends online VAT return deadline to Feb 22

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the deadline for filing online Value Added Tax (VAT) returns for the January 2026 tax period to February 22.

According to a notification issued yesterday, the extension was granted due to prolonged public holidays for Shab-e-Barat and the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

Additionally, technical disruptions necessitated the move in the public interest.
