Exports slip in September

Bangladesh's exports fell by 4.61 percent year-on-year in September due to a decline in shipments of readymade garment, which accounts for 84 percent of total exports.
In September, exporters shipped products worth $3.62 billion, down from $3.8 billion in the same month a year ago, according to data from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
Overall exports, however, remained positive in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025-26.
In the July-September period, shipments totalled $12.31 billion, up 5.6 percent from $11.65 billion in the same period a year ago.
