The benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange has been rising since morning, with the DSEX increasing by 0.19 percent to 5,184.59 points as of 11:14 am.

The Shariah-based DSES index also rose by 0.13 percent to 1,158 points.

So far, shares worth Tk 95 crore have changed hands, with 183 stocks advancing, 98 declining, and 99 remaining unchanged.

Among the traded shares, Samata Leather Complex Ltd posted the highest gain of 9.9 percent, followed by S. Alam Cold Rolled Steels Ltd with a 9.8 percent increase.
