Dhaka stocks slip in morning trade as turnover hits Tk 237cr

Shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) declined in morning trade today, reversing gains of the previous session.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse, decreased 7.58 points, or 0.14 percent, to 5,339.88 by 12:10 pm, according to DSE data.
The mood was mixed across the board: the Shariah-compliant DSES inched up while the blue-chip DS30 went down slightly.
Turnover, an indicator of investor activity, reached Tk 237.34 crore at the time.
Market breadth was mixed, with 184 issues advancing against 132 declining, and 77 holding steady.
Among the notable moves, Miracle Industries shot up 9.71 percent to top the gainers' list, while Emerald Oil Industries slid 9.47 percent, posting the worst fall of the session so far.
