Dhaka stocks slip after 3-day rally

Shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) fell in morning trade today, reversing the gains of the previous three sessions.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse, decreased 20.71 points, or 0.38 percent, to 5,394.41 by 12:24 pm, according to DSE data.
The mood was negative across the board: the Shariah-compliant DSES fell, while the blue-chip DS30 also declined.
Turnover, an indicator of investor activity, reached Tk 264.12 crore at the time.
Market breadth was negative, with 87 issues advancing against 234 declining, and 70 holding steady.
Among the notable moves, First Security Islami Bank shot up 10 percent to top the gainers' list, while New Line Clothings slid 5.88 percent, posting the worst fall of the session so far.
