Dhaka stocks rebound in morning trade

Shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose in early trading today, reversing losses of the previous three sessions.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse, increased 11.62 points, or 0.21 percent, to 5,393.47 by 11:38 am, according to DSE data.
The mood was positive across the board: the Shariah-compliant DSES inched up 0.25 percent to 1,161.88, while the blue-chip DS30 went down 0.25 percent to 2,088.69.
Turnover, an indicator of investor activity, reached Tk 230 crore at the time.
Market breadth was positive, with 202 issues advancing against 100 declining, and 89 holding steady.
Among the notable moves, Peoples Leasing and Fin Services shot up 9.09 percent to top the gainers' list, while Baraka Power slid 10 percent, posting the worst fall of the session so far.
