Mamun made DMD of Mutual Trust Bank
Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has promoted Mohammad Mamun Faruk to the position of deputy managing director (DMD).
In his new role, Mamun will also serve as the head of the Wholesale Banking Division (WBD), concurrently, according to a press release.
Prior to this promotion, he held various leadership positions. Through his dedication, leadership, and business acumen, he has played a significant role in strengthening the bank’s corporate and wholesale banking franchise.
He currently serves as the head of the Wholesale Banking Division at MTB, where he oversees the bank’s wholesale banking business, corporate relationships, and strategic growth initiatives.
A seasoned banking professional, Mamun has more than 26 years of experience in the financial services industry.
He began his banking career at City Bank PLC as a probationary officer in December 1999.
He joined Mutual Trust Bank PLC in 2010.
Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience in branch banking, trade operations, and relationship banking.
Mamun has spent the past 18 years in corporate banking, successfully leading business growth initiatives, managing key corporate relationships, and driving strategic business development.
He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Dhaka and an MBA with a major in finance from North South University.
