Ophelia's flower

Aminul Ehsan Anan

Once in a full moon,
Ophelia's flowers received full bloom,
beside the daffodils,
But they never saw eye to eye, as a narcissist only stares at her own reflection made from her beholder's eyes;
Stone cold, fragile
Ophelia gets cold feet after fall
winter arrives,
Petals of daffodils crumble, while
Lobelias grew side by side with her flowers in the Garden of Eden, meanwhile
bedridden, Ophelia's cold only grew worse;
To cure her cold, a remedy was made
by her consanguine,
when served, she got a taste of her own medicine,
She looked out the window
and to her surprise, "Gone! The Lobelias are gone." That's when she recalled
The fox in the vineyard said, "Grapes are sour." only when it found out that
It was Jesus who had turned water into wine
With Ophelia came hand in hand
nature's revival too;
As winter concluded its reign and spring took over, Ophelia fell in winter; so in return
this time, her flowers fell for her;
As fate has it, the daffodils bloomed again and Ophelia lived happily ever after.
