4 of a family murdered in Satkhira: One arrested by CID

Criminal Investigation Department has arrested a man in connection with the murders of four members of a family in Satkhira's Kalaroa upazila on Thursday.

A team of CID arrested Raihanur Rahman (32) from the upazila yesterday, says a press release.

The accused was produced before a district court which placed him on a five-day remand today, it added.

Four of a family, including two children, were killed in their house on October 15.

The victims were Shahinur Rahman, a 40-year-old fish trader, his wife Sabina Khatun (35), their son Siyam Hossain (10), and daughter Taslima (8).

A case was filed with Kalaroa Police Station on that day. CID is investigating the case.
