Whether we realise it or not, the ethereal yet tangible thing called the women's movement in Bangladesh has had an impact on all our lives, albeit in different degrees and different forms. Over the years, the movement has grown, changed, diversified, institutionalised itself, perhaps, but it has not abandoned its overarching objective of ensuring women's equal participation in economic, social, civil and political spheres.
