The Importance of Adaptation
The extremes in weather patterns caused by climate change have the most severe effects on people living in poor, developing countries, such as Bangladesh, Myanmar and many places in Africa and Asia, who have the least amount of resources and finance to protect themselves and their livelihoods against this phenomenon. Natural disasters, brought on by human contribution to the changes in the climatic condition affect urban areas and industries as well. While steps for mitigation are being taken worldwide, the poor countries must think of ways to adapt and use the resources available to them to tackle climate change.
