This would mean paying closer attention to the interests and concerns of the people in India's North-Eastern region when formulating domestic and external policy, and more importantly, re-imagining our relationship with India by looking at it through the prism of the North-East and not solely through the prism of New Delhi and Calcutta, as we tend to do now.
