Laff Lines

Say again?
A group of junior-level executives were participating in a management training program. The seminar leader pounded home his point about the need to make decisions and take
action on these decisions.
"For instance," he said, "if you had five frogs on a log and three of them decided to jump, how many frogs would you have left on the log?"
The answers from the group were unanimous: "Two."
"Wrong," replied the speaker, "there would still be five because there is a difference between deciding to jump and jumping."

The game
"There's an asteroid heading toward the earth and we're all going to die. There is! Scientists are saying there's a 1 in 45,000 chance of an asteroid hitting the earth in 2036.
Now an asteroid is a giant rock. It's headed toward the earth. We should send up a giant piece of paper. We couldn't send scissors; that would be impractical." -Craig Ferguson

Show me the money
"Here's a sign that people in California have too much money. Have you heard about this? People are now doing yoga with their dogs. Yoga for dogs. Who's this for? Dogs that want to stick their necks out the car window a little further?"
-Jay Leno

Relief
A husband reading a newspaper says to his wife, "You know, honey, I think there might be some real merit to what this article says, that the intelligence of a father often proves
a stumbling block to the son."
"Well, thank heaven," said the wife, "at least our James has nothing standing in his way."

The rock
Millions of years ago, there was no such thing as the wheel. One day, some primitive guys were watching their wives drag a dead mastodon to the food & fire area. It was exhausting work; the guys were getting tired just watching.
Then they noticed some large, smooth, rounded boulders and they had a great idea! They could sit on top of the boulders and get a better view of their wives working.
This was the first in a series of breakthroughs that ultimately led to television...and later to the remote control. --Dave Barry

Abracadabra
A magician calls a man up on stage, hands him a mallet and instructs the guy to hit him as hard as possible on the head.
The magician then proceeds to put his head down on a wooden block.
The man shrugs his shoulders and takes a mighty swing. Three years later, the magician wakes up from a coma in the hospital and goes.... "Taa-Daa!”

Spring picnic of Shaheed Lt Selim Sikshalaya

IT was a fun-filled day for the students of Maghbazar Madhubag Shaheed Lt Selim Sikshalaya, when along with their teachers, they went for a picnic to Sonargaon in Narayanganj district.

I went to the picnic with my younger brother Farzanuzzaman Setu, a KG student at the school.

The day started bright and sunny when the students and teachers gathered in the school and instead of going to their classes, boarded three big buses for the picnic.

At Sonargaon, the picnic spot was a lychis garden. The students were delighted to see the serene surroundings.

Tickets were distributed to students to visit the famous folklore museum where they came to know about our rich history and culture. They also visited Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Art Museum, a rural fair and other sites in the vicinity.

No picnic can be complete without a good meal, with everyone flocking to the lichi garden after the sight seeing.

Later, they enjoyed various games and had a lot of fun. It was fun for the children to see their teachers and parents also join them in the funny activities. The participants were awarded gifts.

Soon it was time to end the picnic and get back to school with lots of memories and photographs. It was indeed a memorable moment for students of the school.

Tribute

Bereavement

Science was never so easy,
Never so interesting before,
Thus we realized, as we got into you
More and more.

Our heads are all bent to you
In respect, as well as in love,
And then all of a sudden, we finally realize
That you're watching us from above.
I now stare all around me
Thinking about everything that surrounds,
The trees all move, the birds all sing,
The winds blow wispy sounds.

The memories with your sweet face
Now seems like a fairy tale,
And everything turned dark as night
As you left Sunnydale.
We never thought your grave we'd see,
Your death we'd hear of,
The hole's been dug, the prayer's been said,
And life seems far off.

The mango tree of the school grounds
Will bloom young buds some time,
And if you see them from above,
Please think about this rhyme.
It hurts to think
That we won't see
A mere shadow of that wink
But that's now true,
and the sky now turns
A gloomy shade of blue.

What I won't give to see you
Retracing the steps you laid,
If you come back, we'll all be glad,
And history shall be made.
But now that's a joke,
And all we can do is clamly hope and pray
That we don't remember the sorrows-
Or the pains of this dreary day.

And if we conclude,
We'll surely include,
That lovely smile you had,
Which, if we could see, one more time,
We'll all be well and glad.
So wherever you are
Wherever you rest,
Know this that we all love you,
And will believe, that sitting above
You know that you do, too.

We all hope and pray for the salvation of Zeba Miss's soul, who passed away on the 22nd of February, 2009.
We will all miss you.

All that I see

Open your fragile heart to me,
And I will piece the bits together,
To make you whole.
I will protect it from ever being hurt again.
This I promise you.

Hold me close to your beating heart,
So I can drift off to sleep.
The sound of your heart slamming against rib cage,
Your blood flowing through icy veins,
Is like a sweet lullaby.

Kiss me like you'll never see me again,
Those angel lips pressed softly against my own,
As you run long fingers through my hair.

It's what you do to me that makes,
Me like you so.
The tears vanish when I hear your voice.
Replacing sadness with bliss,
My face brightens into a genuine smile of gold.

My thoughts turn to you by day,
And nights are filled with visions of you,
And you're all that I see as nightmares disappear.
