Students at Kuet place 5-point demand, including ban on student politics

Students of KUET tonight announced a five-point demand, including a complete ban on student politics, punishment for those who attacked students, and the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and Director of Student Welfare.
They organised a press conference on the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology campus around 10:00pm.
They gave an ultimatum to meet their demands by 1:00 tomorrow, February 19.
Until their demands are fulfilled, all classes and exams at KUET will remain suspended.
A tense situation prevailed in the Shibbari intersection area in Khulna city tonight, as members of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and leaders and activists of the BNP and its affiliated organisations gathered there around 8:30pm.
Around 10:15pm, members of the student body came to the Shibbari intersection area with another procession.
The standoff ended at 10:40pm when the student activists left the area.
