Islami Chhatra Shibir will hold its national council on December 31 at Suhrawardy Udyan, starting at 8:00am.

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman will attend the event as the chief guest.

Sadeque Abdullah, publicity secretary of Shibir, confirmed the development to The Daily Star.

This is the first time Shibir is going to hold the council publicly after 2010.

The names of the next president and general secretary of Shibir will be announced from the council, he added.
