Abrar's father urges students not to engage in bad politics

Barkat Ullah, father of BUET student Abrar Fahad, said that they are satisfied with the High Court's verdict and wanted to see the execution of the verdict swiftly after all procedures are completed.

In an instant reaction after the delivery of the verdict, the father said this at High Court premises.

The High Court today upheld the trial court verdict that sentenced 20 BUET students to death and five others to life imprisonment in Abrar Fahad murder case.

The students should take a lesson from the message given by the court, Barkat Ullah said.

"Parents send their children to educational institutions and work hard for their education. They are not at fault. However, when children go astray, influenced by various temptations, it deeply hurts their parents."

"I urge the students not to engage in bad politics," he added.
