ACC detains factory inspection official for taking bribe in Dinajpur

The Anti-Corruption Commission today detained a deputy inspector general of Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishment (DIFE) for taking bribe from a food company in Dinajpur.

Acting on a tip-off, an ACC team, led by its Deputy Director Ahsanul Kabir Palash, launched a drive at the office of DIFE Deputy Inspector General Md Mostafizur Rahman and detained him red-handed while taking Tk 80,000 bribe from the company.

Mostafizur demanded the money for licence renewal of Eshan Agro and Food, said ACC Public Relations Office.

Engineer Farid Ahmed, joint inspector general of DIFE, also confirmed the detaining of Mostafizur Rahman to The Daily Star.
