Fire breaks out at Kalshi slum in Pallabi

A fire broke out at Kalshi slum in Mirpur’s Pallabi in the capital this evening.

On information of a fire at 7:23pm, five firefighting units have already reached the spot and are working to douse the blaze, while seven more units are on the way, confirmed Anwarul Islam, media officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he added.

No casualties were reported so far.
