Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq has once again been elected member of parliament unofficially from Brahmanbaria-4 (Kasba-Akhaura) constituency. He bagged 2 lakh 20 thousand and 667 votes.

He had been elected lawmaker with the symbol "Boat" from Awami League ticket in the national elections held in 2014 and 2018 too.

Anisul Huq is the only man who performed as the law, justice and parliamentary affairs minister for two consecutive terms in the history of Bangladesh. 

Anisul Huq's nearest contestant National Peoples Parity candidate Shahin Khan got 6,587 votes in this year's election held today (January 7). Shahin Khan contested the election with the symbol "Mango".
