The BCCI President Sharad Pawar told reporters here that the ICC had formed a two-member committee to look into the matter.

But when contacted, ICC Media Manager Brian Murgatroyd denied that the game's apex body had taken any such initiative.

"The ICC has taken the initiative and appointed a two-member committee, and the issue is expected to figure at an ICC meeting at Dubai on August six," Pawar said.

He, however, said personally he would not give much importance to the incident.

"Incidents of this kind do happen on ground sometimes and I'm not sure how much importance should be given to it. Personally, I think we should forget about all this," he said.

Murgatroyd, however, expressed surprise at Pawar's statement.

"There is no such thing. Match Referee (Ranjan Madugalle) had said after the second Test that he will talk to the two captains before the third Test gets underway. That is where it stands. That is the end of it," he said.
