Sources said the court in a drive found that an owner of an apartment in Hazipara area has been selling 500 litres of Wasa water per day to a nearby hotel for the last one year.

It also fined a commercial building -Atlas Bhaban at Agrabad for setting up deep tube well without required license and evading taxes of over Tk 5.25 lakh.

The court also found illegal deep tube wells pilfering Wasa water at Navana Workshop at Access Road and unearthed another incident of water pilferage by selling underground water to 12 slum houses through setting up an illegal pump.
