Oil prices slip

World oil prices eased on Thursday, one day after New York hit a record high 78.77 dollars per barrel as weak US crude reserves sparked concern over tight global energy supplies, traders said. New York's main futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in September, slid 28 cents to 76.25 dollars per barrel in electronic deals before the start of US floor trading.
