Book festival begins in city

A ten-day book festival organised by Oitihya Publication House began at the Public Library at Shahbagh in the city yesterday. The festival offers a special discount ranging from 25 to 60 percent. On the occasion, Oitihya is also going to publish a number of books of eminent poets and writers, including poet Shamsur Rahman and Al Mahmud. A good number of book lovers visited the festival on the opening day, organisers said. The festival will remain open from 10:00am to 8:30pm daily up to August 10.
