2 female RMG workers crushed under train

Two female garment workers were killed on the spot and another female worker was critically when run over by a train at Tejgaon in the capital last night.The two were identified as Minara Begum, 38, Sheuly Akhtar, 15, both workers of United Fashions in Tejgaon industrial area. Identity of the injured could not be known immediately. Witnesses said the accident took place when a group of garment workers returning from work tried to cross the rail line at Nakhalpara just after 8:00pm. Two trains were coming from the opposite directions at the time. A fellow female worker, Lutfa Begum, said, "The area plunged into darkness due to power failure and it was raining. Suddenly we found ourselves between two trains." The critically injured was rushed to the Orthopaedics Hospital.
