The Officer-in-Charge of Rupsha police station said Abdur Rahman was directly involved in murders of Sub Inspector Shamsul Huq and Havilder Abu Bakar Siddique on July 4 in 2004 at Bamandanga under Rupsha upazila. Besides, he was also involved in murders of bank employee Noor Islam, freedom fighter Sattar Shikder, Fakirhat Union Parishad chairman Ator Ali, transport workers' leader Atiar and Shafi, Jubo Dal leader Masum Sheikh and PBCP (M-L) cadre Kabir Hossain.
