MD/MS admission test

The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases published a circular in a daily on 08.03.2007 for MD/MS course part-1 (Session 2007-2008) admission test. Accordingly, we applied and took part in the exams on 30-03-2007. We came out successful and later on we applied for deputation to attend the course through proper channel. However, when our application reached the health department, we were told that we were not eligible for deputation because we had not completed two years of service.

Nowhere in the circular was it found that we were not eligible for government candidature on deputation as we have not completed two years of service. We joined the 24th BCS on 2nd July 2005 instead of 1st July because that day was the weekly holiday (Friday).

The doctors of the 24th BCS who were selected for MD/MS course part-1 at RMC, Nipsom are also facing the same problem.

Hence, we urge the health authorities to look into the matter, so that we don't become victims of a one day shortage.
