The story revolves around mundane events from the shared life of an urban middle-class family. The head of the family is a cheerful man. A sports enthusiast, his only task is to watch every sport event on TV. His wife pretends to be hard of hearing in front of their offspring and daughters in law. The eldest son Jhontu is a doctor and the second one is a government employee who has some "extra income". The youngest son is a news presenter, who has recently fallen for a girl named Kobita. Jhumur, the daughter, who lives with the family, is busy with her research. Not-so-usual events often take place in the very usual lives of these individuals as the serial progresses.
