Fire at Savar spinning mill

Fire damaged machinery, raw materials and other valuable items at a spinning mill in Ulail Industrial Area under Savar municipality yesterday morning.The fire originated from an electric short circuit in the storeroom of Ofaz Spinning Mill at about 7:00am and soon engulfed the adjacent rooms. On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at about 11:00am. A garment worker and a fire fighter received injuries while they were trying to extinguish the fire.
