In a message to Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, President Iajuddin expressed his firm belief that the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Italy would be further developed in the coming years.

He also wished good health, happiness and long life of Napolitano and continued peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Italy.

In a separate message to Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, the chief adviser expressed his firm conviction that the existing bonds of friendship between the two countries would be further flourish in the years ahead.
