India and UNSC
Mahmood Elahi, Iris Street, Ottawa, Canada
By all accounts, India deserves a seat as a permanent member of the Security Council. However, the membership should be without any veto power. Already, the UN is paralysed by veto-wielding five permanent members. It would further paralyse the Security Council if India is allowed to join as a permanent member with veto power.
