Former Faridpur poura chairman arrested

Members of joint forces yesterday arrested Hasibul Hassan Lablu, former chairman of Faridpur pourasava and secretary of district Awami League.Acting on a tip-off, the forces raid his residence at Alipur in Faridpur town and arrested Lablu. He went into hiding after declaration of state of emergency. Lablu is also president of Bangladesh Road Transport Labour Federation (west-south zone), Faridpur Motor Workers Union and Faridpur District Workers' Coordination Council. Later, he was handed to Kotwali police.
