16 brokers held on charge of making fake BRTA licenses

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday arrested 16 brokers on charge of making fake BRTA licenses from Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) compound at Mirpur in the city. Rab members also recovered 22 fake licences from their possession, sources said. Acting on a tip off Rab-4 members conducted the raid at BRTA office at 3:00pm. They were told that a group of brokers are harassing people in the name of providing them with Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) license. The brokers are allegedly involved in making fake licences.
