DMP launches one-stop service for clearance certificate

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) yesterday launched one-stop service to issue police clearance certificate within shortest possible time to the people going abroad to work or stay for a long time.Under the service, the people willing to obtain such certificate will now have to submit applications along with a fee of Tk 250 to the DMP Commissioner's office. The office will conduct necessary investigations and then issue the certificate within three to seven days, said DMP Commissioner Nayeem Ahmed at a press briefing. He hoped that this system would help the people get the police clearance certificate easily. However, this system is applicable only to those living in Dhaka.
