Police recovered the body of Muslima Begum, 23, at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hi-Tech Multi-care Hospital at around 8:30am.

Muslima, wife of Mohammad Sagar, was on duty at the ICU from Friday night to Saturday morning, hospital sources said.

Mystery shrouds the death of a nurse at a private hospital in the city's Kafrul area yesterday.

Police said the nurse might have committed suicide by lethal injection as there were injection marks on her left hand.

Hospital sources said Muslima joined the hospital an year ago as a junior nurse. She married Sagar against the will of her family members and was subsequently abandoned by them.

Such attitude of her family might have led her to commit suicide, the sources added.

However, Dhaka Medical College morgue reported that marks were found around her neck.
