The European champions are expected to travel to China to play Guo'an in Beijing on August 5, followed by a match against Marinos FC in Tokyo on August 7.

They plan to end their tour in Hong Kong with a game on August 9 or 10 against the Caroliners or another top-flight local side, the South China Morning Post said, citing Barcelona vice-president Ferran Soriano.

A number of big European clubs are expected in the region this summer, including Manchester United.

Liverpool, Fulham and Portsmouth have already confirmed they will play in the FA Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong in late July.
