Muktis thrash Ctg Abahani

Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra notched their third consecutive victory in the B League as they crushed Chittagong Abahani by 4-0 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.With the outcome, Muktijoddha took the joint lead with another metropolis club Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra securing 10 points from five matches. On the other hand, Chittagong Abahani remained at previous three points from five outings. Captain Saifur Rahman Moni, midfielder Arman Miah, right-winger Firoz Mahmud Titu and defender Hasan Al Mamun scored one goal each for the all Reds. Moni put Muktijoddha ahead in the 17th minute by a simple tap as midfielder Matiur Munna's long range screamer from about 35 yards returned to play after hitting the crosspiece (1-0). After the breather, former national player Arman doubled the margin in the 72nd minute with a right footed curving free-kick from outside the left side of the danger zone (2-0). Titu netted the 3rd for the winners in the 84th minute by a right-footed angular shot from the right side of the danger zone (3-0) while Hasan Al Mamun sealed the margin with a well-judged header from top of the small box utilizing a right flank Matiur Munna free-kick (4-0) just before the long whistle.
