In the two-and-half-hour-long programme, Monir Chowdhury performed 30 songs of yesteryears -- including those of popular artistes such as Sachin Dev Burman, Satinath Mukhopaddhay, Shyamal Mitra, Manabendra Mukhopaddhay, Manna De, Subir Nandi, Saiful Islam and others. He entertained the listeners with his skilled vocals and impressive style.

Presided over by music exponent AKM Hasan Jamal, the programme was attended by Professor Syed Azizul Haque as the chief guest. Dr Khaleda Begum, general secretary of Surodhuni; Professor Mozaffar Hossain, columnist, writer and advisor of Surodhuni also delivered speeches.
