Taddei fit for Roma

Roma's Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Taddei is expected to be fit for Tuesday's crucial Champions League last 16, second leg away to Lyon, despite missing the last two league games through illness and injury.

Taddei, who played in the 0-0 first leg draw at the Olympic stadium, was laid low by a fever after the 3-0 home win against Reggina on February 25 before suffering a thigh strain.

On Saturday he trained alone in Rome while his team were drawing 1-1 with Ascoli, Serie A's bottom club.

Italian media reports said Taddei was almost certain to start in France on the right-hand side of midfield, with Simone Perrotta in the centre and Brazilian Mancini on the left. Francesco Totti will probably play as a lone striker.

Philippe Mexes and Christian Chivu are expected to play in central defence, flanked by Christian Panucci at right-back and Max Tonetto at left-back.

Montenegrin striker Mirko Vucinic should be on the bench despite picking up an ankle injury against Ascoli that required stitches.
